The real treat with rad na is the sauce of the dish - almost gravy-like and the ultimate comfort food. Some of my go-to favorites include pad thai, of course, or rad na, which is a noodle dish with your choice of protein. We sat along a banquette in between two other couples and still felt secluded.ĭinner:Cool Basil’s menu is large, and you’ll have a hard time deciding between tried-and true classics like stir-fry, noodle, rice and curry dishes, pad thai or sushi. Tucked in the back of the shopping center on University Avenue in Clive, the Thai restaurant’s ambience is dim, yet open, with a bright sushi bar at the entrance. Other times, you feel like going out for an elevated level of Asian fare, and Cool Basil should always be on that short list. Scene:Sometimes you want to sit in your house in your sweatpants and have Asian food delivered to your door so you can slurp your egg drop soup in peace. ![]()
